Death Valley Elopement
Looking for a truly otherworldly place to elope? Death Valley National Park should be high on your list! This desert landscape feels like exploring another planet. The colorful soil layers make for a stunning backdrop to your images, and the massive park offers lots of locations to find privacy. Summer is too damn hot, so consider Death Valley for your winter elopement!!
Bishop Adventure Session
This adventure session in Bishop, California is full of unique fashion, a stunning sunset, romantic picnic, and steamy hot spring cuddles. You don’t want to miss these photos! Inspire your next romantic photos and convince your partner to plan a getaway to the high desert!
California Desert Family Photos
I met two lovely men & their adorable dog in the California desert for family photos amongst the granite boulders of the Alabama Hills Recreation Area near the tiny town of Lone Pine.
Rock Climbing Elopement
Alabama Hills is the perfect place for an adventurous elopement! And there’s nothing more beautiful and adventurous than a sunrise ceremony in the desert, followed by climbing amongst the granite boulders. Check out this blog for more photos of this spectacularly unique California wedding!
Bishop Anniversary Session
This cute family session in the desert outside Bishop, California took place at sunrise with the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains in the background. Check out the blog for adorable photos of their rescue cat & dog!
Winchester Mountain Lookout Hike in the North Cascades
Taylor & Piper’s sunset hiking elopement in the North Cascades began with a row around at Twin Lakes and continued up the trail to Winchester Mountain Lookout. The evening turned out to be one of the most beautiful cotton candy skies colorful sunsets I’ve ever seen!
Artist Point in Yosemite at Sunrise
Looking for an epic place to elope? Artist Point has an amazing view of Yosemite Valley that is best at sunrise. To witness the sun rising above Half Dome you can hike to from a trailhead near Tunnel View during the summer, but you have to start around 3 a.m. It’s a wedding venue for adventurous souls!
Second Beach Engagement
This beautiful engagement session in La Push took place at one of my favorite spots on the Washington coast—Second Beach. The stunning hike in is less than a mile of mossy forest leading to a short, steep staircase down to the beach. Right off the shoreline, the views are made even more dramatic by rocky islands and an amazing view of the sunset!
Rosario Beach Engagement
Rosario Beach is one of my favorite spots for engagement shoots on Fidalgo Island, near Anacortes, Washington. It’s part of Deception Pass State Park, and the trails are moderately difficult but relatively short loops with rewarding views. If you love tide pools, island views, and dramatic cliffsides then you should consider visiting Rosario Beach!
Maple Pass Hiking Elopement
Maple Pass is one of my favorite fall hikes in North Cascades National Park. If you’re considering it for your hiking elopement, I recommend starting at sunrise like this couple did. You’ll be able to avoid the busy summer crowds, witness the mountains in the best light, and enjoy cooler temperatures during the hottest months in the PNW.
Starry Artist Point Elopement
This short & sweet sunset elopement at Mount Baker was only four hours, but we filled those hours with a stunning ceremony at Picture Lake, a blue hour hike up at Artist Point, and star photos once the night sky grew dark enough to see them. If you're interested in staying out past dark on your elopement, that's always an option!
Marymere Falls Elopement
This elopement took place at Marymere Falls, on the Olympic Peninsula. We started the day at Lake Crescent before hiking down to the falls, then returned to the couple's rental cabin on Lake Sutherland to watch the sunset over a picnic on the dock.
Bellingham Beach Engagement Photos
Bellingham has many beaches that make the perfect backdrop for engagement photos! This one, Locust Beach, has a long shoreline with views of the city of Bellingham that shine at sunset and Lummi Island to the north.
Sunset Elopement at Artist Point
This sunset elopement at Artist Point was one of the most beautiful evenings I've ever witnessed at this iconic Washington mountaintop venue! From the moment we met at Picture Lake until we hiked out to Huntoon Point for star photos, the dramatic lighting made every image feel like a fairytale.
Winchester Lookout Sunrise Elopement
The fire lookout at Winchester Mountain might be my favorite location for a sunrise elopement in Washington state! The lookout itself is open to overnight camping on a first-come basis. If you want to hike up at sunrise, it'll only take about an hour to reach the top from the trailhead. Be aware that the road to this trailhead is rough and unpaved, but the views are worth it!
Sailing Elopement in the San Juan Islands of Washington state
This elopement took place on Cypress Island after sailing across the Bellingham Channel from Guemes Island. It was a traditionally overcast PNW spring day, and the clouds were thick, but rain held off throughout the ceremony, hike, and beach picnic. It was a perfect island elopemen for these two!
Washington Rainforest Elopement
Theres no place more beautiful, romantic, or inspiring than the old-growth forests of the Hoh rainforest in Washington state. Part of Olympic National Park, this Washington rainforest is one of my favorite places for couples to elope in the PNW!
June Proposal at Mount Rainier
This early summer proposal took place at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park on a typically snowy day in June. The couple, who had traveled up from a warm climate and lower elevation were amazed by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!
Ecola State Park Wedding
This wedding took place on Earth Day in Cannon Beach, Oregon with a cliffside ceremony at Ecola State Park. The location was perfect for this couple, who deeply love nature and The Goonies (anyone recognize that location from the film?!) Details include the most beautiful floral wedding dress, a stunning sunset, and some incredible Oregon coast nature venues!
Hall of Mosses & Ruby Beach Elopement
This Hoh Rainforest elopement started with a rainy hike through the Hall of Mosses and ended with a beautiful sunset at Ruby Beach. This couple enjoyed the best of the wild PNW and celebrated their relationship in the most authentic way!
