Astoria Couples Session
Corrine and Dean are one of the most adorable couples ever! We met at a beach parking lot at Fort Stevens State Park the morning of this shoot - and they immediately started gushing about how cool this location is, how much they like my choice in camera, and how stoked they were to be there! Seriously, they are truly as happy as these images suggest!
We met at a famous shipwreck at Fort Stevens, which was inaccessible because of the tides but still a gorgeous sight. The wind was ripping, and we pretty quickly hid amongst the trees. The Pacific Northwest is known for its old growth forests of pine and fir, but there’s something lovely about the grassy and mossy coastal trees.
If you’re ever in Astoria, I highly recommend exploring the coast to the west. There’s a wildness where the Columbia meets the Pacific.
Oregon Adventure Photographer
Oregon’s landscape is perfect for exploring - whether you’re called to the sea or the mountains. The dramatic Oregon coastline is known for jagged rocks and moody weather, but I’ve also found the Oregon coast to be a soft place. The sort of place that makes you pause and take it all in. The long brown grasses and this couple’s aesthetic looks like they stepped straight out of a film from the 1940s.

Nature and history aren’t far away from each other in Astoria, Oregon. After exploring the beach, we headed downtown. The old buildings, many of which date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, house gorgeous modern cafes and venues. One of the most striking pieces of architecture, the John Jacob Astor Hotel, is home to The Ruins - a gorgeous wedding hall.
If you’re looking for a location with the ideal mix of historic downtown charm and natural beauty, Astoria is the perfect place!
