Beach Wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Jeannette & Nick’s beach wedding in Punta Cana actually wasn’t their first plan—originally they had thought to gather their families together for a large event stateside, but the pandemic and family illnesses caused them to make the celebration much more intimate. I think their Plan B wedding was perfect! With just a couple dozen of their most cherished loved ones, these two said “I do” during a week-long celebration at the Royalton Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The morning of their wedding ceremony Jeannette & Nick got ready separately. Nick with his two closest friends, and Jeannette with her mom and best friends. After a brunch of champagne & local fruit sitting by the pool, Jeannette’s wedding party helped each other finalize details. Then, Jeannette had a sweet, emotional first look with her dad before everyone headed down to the beach for the ceremony.
After the ceremony Jeannette & Nick snuck off for a bit to enjoy a moment to themselves before rejoining everyone for an evening of dancing, cake, and heartfelt speeches. The celebration lasted well into the evening, but then these adventurous souls got back up for sunrise the next morning. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for some stunning images of these two running along the beach, jumping into the waves, and getting generally covered in sand while still wearing their wedding attire!
Jeannette wanted to wait and see Nick for the first time walking down the isle, so instead we planned this sweet “first look” with her dad. I’ve known Jeannette & JR for over a decade, and I was tearing up at this sweet moment!
