Jeep Elopement in Ouray, Colorado
Tips for a Jeep Ride on Your Wedding Day
Bring a Jacket
Most tour jeeps are open-top vehicles, which means it’ll likely get windy/cold up in the mountains. Even on a summer day, if you stay out past sunset it’ll likely be quite cold on the way back into town.
Prepare your hair for wind
If your hairstyle depends on still air, wear a jacket with a big hood to protect your locks. Make sure it zips up or buttons high enough in the front that it isn’t flying off—hood that fit helmets (like for cycling or skiing) are actually perfect for this!
Plan for driving time
As you make your day-of timeline, know that driving off-road is much slower than on pavement. Expect you’ll be going between 10-15 mph, and plan your schedule with enough time to reach your destination and enjoy it.
